Testimonial by Charlotte Stevens

Hello my name is Charlotte Stevens and I’m 18years old. Through out my whole life I’ve always had my tetanus injections and my vaccinations from things like polio and the common flu. For years i was lead to believe that these were good things and to keep them up and to go to the doctor for everything.  As a child I was always chubby, but I never thought anything of it.

As years went on I was going up a size in clothing every year, I just thought this was natural a part of growing up, I was always thinking “I will grow out of it surely”?  A few years ago I found out I Gluten Intolerant now I didn’t know what this ultimately meant so I ignored what had been told and kept eating what I always ate.  The weight kept going on and I never really cared much about it.  As my 15th birthday approached me I was getting excited as it meant that I could now drive. This was when I noticed something was up.

I knew I had bad eyesight, but never this bad.  I went to the AA for my learner’s test I got to the eye sight testing machine and sure enough I failed which I knew would happen.  The next step was to go to the doctor for testing, but the sad thing was I even failed the eye sight test there to.  Now I was upset and mum and dad didn’t know what was wrong with me.  We went and saw a specialist and after being told I was going to go blind I burst into tears, no teenager about to get their licence wants to hear that.

I was enrolled in the blind foundation and told that I may end up with a stick or even a guide dog.  Mum and dad were distort for me to, they didn’t know where to turn to.  It wasn’t until mum was talking to a friend of hers that a glimmer of hope appeared. I was told to go see L.B Andersson.  I didn’t care what I had to do as long as it meant I could drive.

After my first session with L.B I was shocked so was my mum and even L.B to.  He turned and said to me “I have never seen some one with such a high level of vaccine position in their body”.  I didn’t really know what this meant, but I soon found out why I had so many medical problems.  Why I had unexplained weight gain all the time and why my eyesight was as bad as it was.  All those vaccines had messed with my body so much that I never even knew I was so sick.

After finding out that I wasn’t only gluten intolerant I was also lactose intolerant to.  I never realised that this was why I gaining the weight because I practically lived off foods full of what I was allergic to.  I was put on medication straight away.  It did take a few months before I was able to go to an optician and get glasses so I could drive.

I got my learners and now have my restricted licence and am just going for my full.  My eyes are better and I can see better now than when I could when this all first started.  My eyes are now sorted so I am dealing with my weight which is a long road ahead, but it is all worth it just to feel good again.  I fully appreciate everything that my parents have done for me and I especially want to thank L.B if it wasn’t for him I would be on my way to having guide dog and having to have someone drive me every where just so I could have a life.  I have independence and plan to keep it that way for many years to come.
